Amazing Design Tool To Market Your Online Tutoring Business

You've heard the expression, 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. This is extra important when marketing your online tutoring business. Whether it's on your website, social media or other places online, images are vital. Do you need to hire an expensive graphic designer or spend hours learning how to use complicated graphic design software to achieve this? Nope! Let me show you how you can market your online tutoring business for $1 or less.

When you set up a Facebook account or YouTube channel or want to post on social media sites like Google plus or Twitter, you're going to want some good quality images. One of the biggest challenges I found was creating different sized images for each of my profiles. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, YouTube channel art needs to be 2560px x 1440px, whereas an image size of 828px x 315px is best for a Facebook cover. (px = pixels)

I remember when I first started my online tutoring business, I didn't have a clue how to edit an image or save it as a certain size, so I paid a graphic designer to do this for me. I wanted to look professional, have a decent logo for my website and have consistency with my online marketing. I employed a design company to create a logo and I bought some stock images to use on my tutoring site as well as my social media platforms so that I looked professional and would stand out from the crowd. That worked out well and I was happy with the results, but paying a graphic designer can be expensive. Since then, I've found an amazing tool that you can use to create logos and all sorts of images to promote your online tutoring business...

Introducing Canva

Canva for online tutoring

When I found out about Canva, I was amazed at how easy it was to create professional looking images for my various social media accounts, blog posts and webpages. Incredibly, this tool is free to use and just requires a 1 minute sign up to access the software, which includes a bank of images and example templates that you can use free of charge. If none of the free pictures suit your needs, you can choose a premium one from their huge selection of over 1 million images. For $1, you can use a premium image for 24 hours for a single design or for $10 you can use it in all your designs. I'd say that's very reasonable.

If you can't find any images you like on Canva's site, there are many places to find free images online but I want to share with you my favourite place right now:
